HAPPY NEW YEAR! Whoever says new year, says new goals to achieve, regardless of where you are and the field in which you are advancing. In this new season, I would like to give you some tips to start on the right foot. Without further ado, here they are:
1. Set Achievable Goals For Yourself
Whether it is to get more physically active, eat healthily, or succeed in all your classes this semester, you have to set yourself achievable goals, and more precisely, reasonable ones. For example, if you want to start training, start by doing it two to three times a week for 30 minutes, not two hours a day, seven days a week. You may burn yourself out and quickly get discouraged. When it comes to healthy foods, incorporate them in small amounts into your meals without making sudden changes.
2. Get Yourself Out of Your Comfort Zone
Practice a new sport, discover new foods, draw or sing. These are just a few ideas from an extensive list of activities you can try in 2021. Step outside your comfort zone and try something new. Who knows, you might be the next Gordon Ramsay, Carey Price or Céline Dion!
3. Take Time For Yourself
We live in a constantly changing society, and we move at high speed. We often forget to take time for ourselves. In 2021, make sure to remedy this situation, and take time for yourself by going to a spa when you are no longer in confinement, reading your favourite book, skating, and why not rollerblading? In short: RELAX!
